Yesterday I went to see my nutritionist and walked out of his office with the "Blowtorch" Diet. Sounds scary right? Yes- exactly what I said, thought and STILL thinking. It's a seven day clean diet. Raw foods (for the most part), no cooking involved at all and basically vegetarian!! The Diet consists of salad every night (with different ingredients...kind of), a lot of nuts and seeds, fruits and veggies, eggs and a little tuna and salmon. I have to do this for 7 days... Thank GOODNESS it's not a life style diet.
For about a month I have been at the same weight which is so frustrating so he's using this diet to confuse the heck out of my body and should help jump start everything up again and get the metabolism boosted again. Supposedly I should lose 5 pounds by doing this this week.
Next week I go back on my normal Anti-Inflammatory Gluten free/Dairy free diet. Each day this week I'll post how the day went with what I had to eat and how I feel and most likely the struggles of it. I WILL say the positive of this is, is that I get to eat half a bagel this week!! and some Cheese!!! yummy! but, then back to no more! Normally you would start something like this on a Monday, but I decided to start Today (Sunday) being that next weekend is labor day weekend so I can enjoy the BBQ's and fun. Also, todays a simple relaxation kind of day so making today Day One for me.. Knowing what struggles i'll probably have was the best thing for me to do.
