There are so many supplement fads out there it's absolutely insane! Everywhere sells them: CVS, Walgreens, Stop and Shop, etc. But do they really work? Some of them may work but the ONLY way it really truly works is if you diet and excercise while you use them. But, others are pointless and honestly just make you seem lazy in my eyes. Take water pills for example. Water pills cause your body to make yourself urinate faster (basically) as well as reduce bloating. You can do this NATURALLY by drinking water throughout the day. You are supposed to have at least 8 oz. of water a day. This will make you pee people and it will also make you de-bloat. Here is an example of ingredients in DIUREX Active Ingredients: Caffeine (50 mg) (Diuretic), Magnesium Salicylate (162.5 mg**) (Analgesic) Inactive Ingredients: Acacia Gum (Acacia Senegal), Calcium Carbonate, Cornstarch, Crosprovidone, Dicalcium Phosphate, FD&C Blue 1 (CI 42090), Hypromellose, Magnesium Stearate, Maltodextrin, Methylene Blue, Microcrystalline Cellulose, Mineral Oil (Paraffinum Liquidum), Polyethylene Glycol, Polysorbate, Shellac, Silica, Sodium Starch Glycolate, Stearic Acid, Talc, Titanium Dioxide, Triacetin Why put all that stuff (guarenteed you don't know what 3/4 of it is) into your body when you can simply put filtered water into your body instead? Same thing for something like green tea pills. Why would you put PILLS into your body with a ton of unknown ingredients and chemicals in it than the natural product? I won't lie... my Nutritionist gives me supplements but all supplements that he has given me are all NATURAL. There is not one ingredient in the pills that I don't know how to pronounce or that I haven't heard of. Also, along with the supplements I HAVE to drink a ton of water, eat healthy and exercise. One supplement he has given me is: Raspberry Ketone (I used to for one month... Took one upon wake up and the other 10 minutes before eating lunch). It was only used for a month because your body gets used to what you're putting into it so you have to be constantly changing and confusing your body. I will be taking it again in the future. Moral of the story kids: If you're trying to lose weight and/or start a healthy lifestyle stop trying to "cheat" or find ways around doing the work. The only thing that really, truly works and stays working is doing it the right way, the healthy way, the natural way. Don't put anything into your body that you can't pronounce! Make it that easy. Whatever you put into your body will reflect on how you feel everyday when you wake up and how you feel throughout the day until your bedtime. If you want to take supplements read the ingredients. If you can read ATLEAST 3/4 of the ingredients then go for it. If you CAN'T read 3/4 of the ingredients PUT IT DOWN!! Trust me, if you do it the "right" way you will be a lot more proud of yourself (and hey... it may save you a lot of money too!!
