People interview for new jobs everyday. Whether being let go from one job, the choice of a career change or many other reasons. I hear stories all the time from friends or family members about people they've seen walk into an interview and what they are wearing. Some outfits PERFECT, others extremely inappropriate. You need to remember when going on a job interview it's always posisble you will not get hired for the position solely on what you're wearing. Unfortunately, this is where "Don't judge a book by it's cover" absolutely does NOT come into play. The way you look when walking into a job interview is HUGE! I was even sitting in a nail salon one day with my cousin and we ended up sitting next to a woman who said that a persons NAILS was the reason she didn't get hired...They were bitten down as low as possible which showed nervousness in her eyes. Something SO little can cost you a job.
Next interview you have do yourself a favor - get your hair cut, blow it out, do your make up (natural; not heavy), get your nails done. You don't need to spend money on all this. Just TAKE CARE OF YOURSELF. It will show when you walk into an interview.
When it comes to your clothes see below for the do's and Don'ts.
The first row are the "Do's." They are all very professional looks and depending on what you're interviewing for should make you win over any room! The last photo in the top row is more of a Corporate look. A black, or solid colored suit is always a good choice for a corporate interview, paired with the black closed toe heels (not too high of a heel and a professional clean bag in tow. The 2nd picture will work for corporate as well.
If you're interviewing for other positions such as retail or a fashion gig the first and third photos are good to go by. They are professional yet stylish. Again, go with the closed toe, not so high heels and a professional looking bag in tow.
Always accessorize for interviews but nothing too chunky or blingy. All jewelery showed below are okay, but i wouldn't go further than any of those peices of jewelery. You want the interviewer to be focused on you not your crazy jewelery.

Do everyone a favor and don't ever wear anything like the outfits below to an interview. This will just be a waste of yours and your interviewers time. Now, that's me being blunt. They are all very unprofessional, some too provocative or too "showey." Some of these may be stylish when it comes to street style but absolutely NOT for interviews. My cousin (same who I talked about above) told me while interviewing for a teaching position she saw another candidate come into the room wearing a long maxi skirt, with a slit, and platform shoes... NO! JUST NO! You want to be taken seriously right? Use that in your outfit. If you want to show some spunk...show that in your personality.
Have an interview approaching? Good Luck!
